If you and your family do not desire to have a traditional funeral service in our chapel or a church, a graveside service is another option open to the family, should you desire a less formal, yet dignified, way of honoring your loved one. As with the Traditional chapel or church service, this option still provides you with a way to personalize the service to address the needs of your family. You can choose to have a clergy member officiate the service or have family and/or friends speak. If your loved one was a veteran, the service may also include military honors.
As with the Traditional Chapel or Church service, your loved one is transported to our Palatka funeral home. You will meet with a licensed funeral director to discuss the needs of your family, arrange services and select the necessary merchandise. You may also choose to have a private family viewing and then invite friends for the visitation or you may decide to have a calling hour before the graveside service. If this service does not include a visitation or open casket option, embalming is not required but can be chosen.
