Myrtice Waters Cribbs, 73, of Palatka went to be with Jesus Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka following a brief illness.
Myrtice was born in the former Glendale Hospital in Palatka on March 1, 1944 to Bryant Leaston Waters and Connie Head Waters. She had worked as a waitress at former Jerry’s Drive-In in Palatka, as a cook at former San Mateo Restaurant and at former Hale’s Store in Hastings, and as a nursery worker at Peniel Baptist Academy. She had also commercially cleaned offices in Palatka. Myrtice enjoyed cooking, bowling, fishing, Facebooking, and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Brandon T. “B.T.” Cribbs and a sister, Carolyn Waters.
Surviving are a daughter, Kytrina (Alan) Brown of Palatka; two sons, Lee Cone of Bardin and Bryan Cone (Tina Bardin) of Satsuma; daughters-in-law, Linda Cone and Laura Cone, both of Palatka; a step-daughter, Robin L. (Jim) Conley of Palatka; two sisters, Betty Elliott and Evelyn (Bo) Corneal, all of Palatka; a brother, Bobby Sr. (Georgie) Waters of Satsuma; twelve grandchildren, Phillip (Erin) Wilkinson of East Palatka, Shawn (Tayler) Wilkinson of Palatka, Daniel (Megan) Wilkinson of Bardin, Brittany Wilkinson ( Pud Klemons) of Palatka, Dustin (Whitney) James of Hollister, Austin Cone, Zech (Courtney) Cone, Naomi Cone, Brandon Flanders (Brittany Morrow), Kaleb Goss, Katelynn Game, and Wyatt Cone, all of Palatka; nine great grandchildren, Zoey Wilkinson, Aubree Wilkinson, Colby Mackie, Emily Mackie, Paisley Klemons, Riley James, Dakoda Burkes, Rian Cone, and Natalea Cone; special life-long friend, Vickie Sue Hinds; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of many more family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, May 12th (today) at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 15th at the funeral home with Pastor Phillip Wilkinson officiating. In honor and celebration of Myrtice’s life a Video Tribute will be shown. Burial will follow in Etoniah Cemetery in Bardin.
