Connie Murphy Rotkin

Connie Murphy-Rotkin, 59, of Palatka passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Community Hospice Bailey Center in St. Augustine following an extended illness. She had been a lifelong resident of Palatka.

She was a 1971 graduate of the Palatka South High School. She enjoyed playing the piano. She especially enjoyed being with her family. Her family appreciated the special care given by the Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mabel Murphy; and one sister, Bonnie Bryan.

Survivors include her daughter, Rachael Rotkin of Palatka; her son, Elijah Rotkin of Palatka; her twin brother, Ronald Murphy of Palatka; three sisters, Carole Helms, Donna Stewart and Brenda Thames, all of Palatka; her grandson, Kelson; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Crossroad Community Church, 117 Pine Tree Road, East Palatka on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Leroy Lewis officiating.
