Jeffrey Alan O’Berry, 65, of East Palatka passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Fresenius Kidney Care Palatka following an extended illness.

Jeffrey had been a resident of East Palatka for the past 28 years coming from South Carolina. He served as a volunteer firefighter with the Francis Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Jeffrey was also a member and past Grand Knight of Columbus where he was a 4 degree member. He was an all-around sports fan but especially enjoyed NASCAR, football and hockey. He will be fondly remembered for the jokes he told.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emory O’Berry; 2 brothers, Robert O’Berry and Charles “Micky” O’Berry.

Cherishing Jeffrey’s memory are his wife, Nancy O’Berry of East Palatka; two daughters and a son-in-law, Christine Shifflett of Pomona Park and Susan and Richard Bradley of Tennessee; his mother, Mary O’Berry of Louisiana; a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Rose O’Berry of Maryland; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and William Hineman of Louisiana; 4 grandchildren, Sarah Mayes, Robyn Mayes and Jasmine Mayes all of Pomona Park and Jonathon Bradley of Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Monica Catholic Church on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Ron Camarda officiating.
