Charlie W. “Chuck” Taylor, Jr., of Ocala (formerly of Palatka) passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Ocala Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Chuck was born in Jacksonville and had lived in Ocala eight years coming from Palatka. He was a 1968 graduate of Palatka Senior High School. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Taylor; his parents, Charlie Sr. and Alice Taylor; and a son, Charlie W. Taylor III.
He is survived by his children, Marshall Taylor, Roger Senior, Jay Senior, and Alice Springsten; a step-brother, Tim Weddington; a sister, Kathy Taylor; and six grandchildren, Charlie, Faith, Blake, Trinity, Trace, and Indigo.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24th at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Mario Villella officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens with military honors bestowed by the U.S. Marine Corps.
